Natalia Sorokina is a capital markets professional with over 10 years of experience in equity research and corporate finance in North America and Russia. Natalia worked in a corporate finance and stock market sector for KPMG and URALSIB Capital.
In KPMG Natalia focused on business valuation for the purposes of M&A, SPAs, as well as financial reporting under the IFRS for clients in a variety of industries, including consumer goods, industrials, real estate, and energy services. Natalia currently serves on the Board of Directors of CFA Association (Russia).
What is this course about?
This basic corporate finance course for companies is focusing on key principles of corporate finance. You will learn how to use a standard financial data reporting for a risk analysis and investment decisions making. You will learn how to estimate cost of equity using CAPM risk framework; how to calculate an expected return based on the risk-free rate, the beta coefficient of the stock and Equity Risk Premium; how to calculate a free cash flow to the firm (FCFF) and to the equity (FCFE); how to calculate a discount rate by weighed average capital cost WACC. You will learn how to assess a return on investment by NPV, IRR, MIRR methods.
